Class attendees can learn enough through our practical and theory courses to give them the know how and confidence to work within the lucrative tiling industry.
We currently offer a 2 day weekend DIY tiling course and a more
advanced 5 week day intensive course.
Due to demand, we are now offering a 4 day intensive tiling course
split over two consecutive weekends, the course layout is very similar to
the 5 day intensive course.
2 DAY INTRDUCTION TILING COURSE
On completion of this course you will have fully wall tiled a kitchen
and have a firm idea of how to set out floor tiles.
From this course you will realise that you either wish to continue on
to a more technical course or simply be armed with the know how and
apply your knowledge in your own home or relatives homes. Students need to be over 16years of age.
In this course you will learn all about:
Health and Safety
Preparation of Surfaces
Adhesives
Setting out of wall tiles
Setting out of floor tiles
Cutting Techniques
Use of hand and power tools (wet cutter etc)
Fixing techniques
Tiling a Kitchen Wall
Polishing
Grouting
Siliconing
4 / 5 DAY INTENSIVE TILING COURSE
Our target is to have you leave this course armed with enough
information and confidence to begin your new career and make a success of it.
This course is intensively practical which is why we provide some
intense reading material for you to study prior to arrival. This will enable
us to cover such an extensive amount of knowledge in a short space of
time.
The course will be conducted as if you were involved in a normal tilers
working day.
By the end of the week, you will have
Fully tiled a kitchen wall and floor
Fully wall tiled a bathroom
Installed underfloor Heating in a conservatory. A good weeks work !
In this course you will learn all about :
Health and Safety (including lifting techniquen
Surface Preparation (priming, PVA, wet proofing, ply boarding, self levelling)
Correct adhesives for surface
Setting out (wall and floor, kitchen, bathroom and conservatory)
Tiling techniques (including mosaics)

Use of a water cooled diamond tile drilling system
Differing designs
